Gameguard error code 1013 update#
If a new patch is released for download, repeat these steps to update and remove Error 380 again. With GameGuard properly updated, Error 380 will not reoccur unless GameGuard releases a new patch that requires further updating. Once GameGuard has updated, you can return to the Windows Firewall menu and turn the Firewall back The Firewall will no longer block GameGuard, and the program should update and run without an Error 380 message. Unfortunately, this security measure can sometimes mistakenly block nonthreatening programs, like GameGuard, causing Error 380 to appear.Ĭlick “Turn Windows Firewall on or off.” This button is sometimes hard to spot, because it is tucked away on the far left-hand side of the screen.Ĭlick to select “Turn off Windows Firewall” under both the public and private network headings. If a possible threat is found, the program is blocked from connecting the Internet. According to Microsoft, your computer's Firewall scans incoming Internet data for potential threats. If a network cable is unplugged, you cannot get online, and the error will persist.Ĭlick on “Windows Firewall” to open your Firewall. Error 380 occurs when your GameGuard software is unable to download updates. IMPORTANT:- IF YOUR GAME ALLOWS PLAYING WITHOUT GAMEGUARD JUST DISABLE IT ALL WILL BE FINE! IF IT NOT WORK TRY BELOW STEPSĭouble-check your Internet connection cables.
Gameguard error code 1013 driver#
It's just that darned kernel driver right now that's stopping it.Don't worry bro! I got you covered. I personally think that it would be possible to get GameGuard working in Wine, but I'm no programmer and I don't know how much would need to be done to get it working unofficially. You're right that it is not up to SEGA or Valve to add support for GameGuard on Linux, but Wine used to not support software like Denuvo Anti-Tamper before, but now it does, and there was that brief period last year where the Windows version of Easy Anti Cheat worked in Wine. Once that error starts appearing under Wine, that's when the version of Windows presenting itself to GameGuard becomes important. NP1013 is the "the OS or a program on your system is running that we don't like" error.

The reason why GameGuard doesn't work now isn't because its driver cannot be initialised property as Wine lacks the support to handle what the driver is trying to do.Įven in the cases where PSO2 has run on Linux for some, GameGuard kills the process with the error code NP0, which is a kernel driver error.
Gameguard error code 1013 how to#
Ideally, the anticheat should not know it is running on anything other than Windows and "just work". This small video is to teach Indonesian friends who ask me how to open the Smart Robo interface with Vulcanus, I hope it will be helpful, excuse the mediocre video but Im not good at these things, but my intention is that they can understand the process visually.

It's a pain in the bum, especially if you do not have hibernation set up on the Linux side :( There isn't really anything known about how this'll work, but until GameGuard works in Proton, you'll need to boot into Windows each time you want to play PSO2. Valve have also said third-party software, including Windows can be installed. Valve have said they are in contact with BattlEye and EAC to get their anticheat solutions working, and it is possible that working on getting one anticheat solution working can help with getting others working, but each anticheat has their own methods of doing what they do. You can try to run it, but either you'll be kicked out after a minute, or the game will refuse to start entirely. Proton/Wine running on Linux does not currently support the anticheat PSO2 uses - nProtect GameGuard.

The only roadblock is that to play NGS, you'll need to install Windows.
Gameguard error code 1013 portable#
I've been looking for a successor to the PlayStation Vita to play PSO2 and NGS portably, and while this is by no means as portable as the Vita, the specs look really darn good. I really hope Valve don't mess this up in terms of hardware. I can see this potentially running NGS pretty well at medium settings, and heck classic PSO2 far better than the () could haha It technically isn't because the Switch Deck is capable of running the game, but a unmodified Switch Deck will not be able to run PSO2 currently. Edit: somebody reported this for misinformation.
